Merry Christmas

four more days.......

my entire family is leaving to Mexico on Friday :(

i wish i could go with them but i cant i have to stay here and go to classes. i am so mad. but then as i think about it its also going to be cool to have the hole house to my self. i have no idea what I'm going to do for Christmas or new years.

thanks giving

thanks giving was a lot of fun. we spent it with family and friends. we had a lot of food and by the end of the day i felt very sleepy because of all the food i ate.the long weekend went buy so fast, i cant believe its already Sunday.

The perfect place to eat shrimp!!!!!!

La Terrasa is a well known because of their scrumptious food and good service. As soon as you walk in the door you are greeted by a waitress. Then they take to your table and give you chips and salsa while you wait. The salsa is delicious, one you try it you can’t stop eating it and before you know it is all gone and you are asking for more.

The restaurant is divided in to two sides. One is smoking and the other one is no smoking. It is big and there is a good amount of space between each table. It is a good place to take your family. On weekends they have performers so the customers can listen to music while they enjoy their food. Then at night they have karaoke, it is really fun. You feel like you are at a party. La Terrasa is always busy and the people look happy and comfortable. The waitresses keep the restaurant very clean and the service is great.

On the menu you can find a variety of different food. They have tacos, quesadillas, tortas, burritos, and dinners, but their specialty is the seafood. The shrimp and octopus cocktail is delicious. They serve it with saltine crackers. It tastes so good and it has a great smell. For dessert La Terrasa offers flan, coffee cake, and tree milk cake. The flan is really soft and it is really good, and for the refreshments they have a lot of soft drinks, fresh fruit juice and waters. The water that I would recommend would be the orchata water. It is made out of rice and it is perfect with whatever you order.

La Terrasa is great and the food is very good. The restaurant is affordable; you would need ten to thirty dollars per person to have a good meal. The rating I would give it would be four stars. I recommend La Terrasa to everyone that is looking for a place to eat and have a good time.

McKinley Cafe

Megan and i eat subway every Monday because there isn't any other food. when we go they never have the pizza or the burgers. i think they should get better food. I've tried the pizza and it doesn't even taste good. the should add a different variety of food.

Christmas

Every year my family goes to Mexico for 3 weeks or a month. this year they are leaving on December 5th so i wont be able to go. i am so mad. the good thing about it is that i get my presents early and i get the house all to myself.

yes!!!

so i go to class on Thursday and every one is nervous about their social studies midterm results.
its a 3 hour class so he announces that he will give them after the break. dang now i have to stay. i was planning to go to the mall but i had to stay. when the brake was finally over he gave it to us and i was so relieved. i got a B, i was so happy. after that every one was relieved.

Thanksgiving

I am so happy thanksgiving is in two weeks. i have
a huge family so when we get together it gets crazy.
everyone brings something and at the end we end up
having enough food to feed over 100 people. it is so
good. then we get together the next day and eat the
leftovers and it taste even better.

Mid Term

Last Thursday i took my social studies midterm and i was
surprised. it wasn't that hard. i actually new some things
on there. everyone was freaking out before starting and
when we were don we were all relived. glad that's over.

11/10/09

Today i went to talk with my adviser. i was kind of nervous at first.
but it wasn't that bad. she was relay cool and helped me a lot. now i am
prepared to register for my next semester classes. i cant wait I'm so excited!!!!

midterms

omg midterms are coming up. I'm so nervous because i have so much work to do who new college was going to be this tiring o well i guess I'm going to have to get use to it.

one of the classes that i have learned the most is in my computer class. i took it in middle school and high school, and I'm also tacking it right now. it is reallay use full be cause it taught me every thing i know about computers. it is a really important skill because the world is advancing and you need to keep up with technology.

one of the big issues going on in the world is hunger. there are people every where that are starving. we should try and do some thing about it. in one of the places that i have witnesses hunger is in Mexico. people have no jobs and are in desperate need of help.

tech class

In my computer class our teacher made us do our own web page. its really cool!!!!

stuck

I am so stuck on mu homework. i have like 5 papers to do this week. i don't know how I'm going to do it. i knew i was going to get more homework than in high school but i had no idea it was going to be this much!!

my weekend

This weekend i had so much fun!! my aunt got married on Saturday so i was really excited. but when we got to the party it was kind of lame. they weren't playing any good music. it was until like ten o'clock when they Finlay put good music, then the fun started. then on Sunday i went to church and then i went to the mall. didn't really buy anything but it was fun.

Justice and the world

"Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere"

I think that what MLK was trying to say is that if there is injustice any where in the world it should be stopped. this brings me to the four freedoms. Everyone should get equal treatment and we should do something to stand up for what we believe in.

Racism

Yesterday as my mom was going to put her car in our drive way a police stopped her. i went outside with my dad and he tried to go with her but the police screamed at him and said to stay there. he told them that my mom didn't speak English, but they kept on asking her questions. then they started searching the van. that's when my dad went with her and he told them again that she didn't speak English. the police told him that if she didn't know then how did she get her licence. we told him that they make the test in Spanish and he didn't say anything. then they left. i didn't get why they were screaming we weren't doing anything. they were relay rude. i took it as being racist.

the 4 freedom posters

i had no idea there were so many posters. some of them were so confusing. one of the posters that i really liked was freedom of want. it was about a fat man that looked like his stomach was about to pop. the message that i got from looking at it was that in America there are so many obese people. they don't take care of them selves and eat what they want.

The power of words

I never realy thought about the power of words. many people say things that they dont mean because they dont think before they talk. many people say a lot of things that arent true. for example when to candidates are running dor president the always say they are going to do a lot of things to make america better. what does that realy mean? the words od power that i chose are I Can, love, stupid, dead. i chose these words because i think they have a lot of power. when some one sais i can it shows they have confidense and belive in themselves. love has a lot of power. if you say it to some one you make them feel good. some people say your stupid or thats stupid but dont realy mean it. some times people take it the wrong way and can make them feel bad. you can say dead many different ways. you can say my phone is dead or the party is dead but when you say some one is dead it has a lot of power. we should think before we talk.

my first shuttle Ride

I had a big paper do on wednesday for science but i couldent figure out how to send it.
the teacher told me to stay after class but he was taking forever. i told him i had to go but he kept on talking. it was already 2:40 and i still had to get to my car that was parked like a million miles away, and i still had to go to the other building and find a parking space. i knew i was gona be late so when he was finaly done he told me to take the shuttle instead that it would be faster.
so i go outside and the bus was about to leave !!! i was literaly runing and he saw me
and stoped. thanks to the shuttle i got to class on time good thing they have them.
im thinking of using it more often.

school so far

so far school has been ok. the only prblem is to much home work!!!!!!
monday is my longest day. i get out at nine. that sucks. i only have three
classes on monday and one of them is 3 hours long. i have a two hour brake
in between my classes so i eat and do some home work. but i dont like driving
when its dark i guess im gona have to get use to it.

Its my second day of college and i spent about 30 minutes to find a parking space
it was terrible. so i get to my class and as soon as iwas gona sit down i remembered tht i dident hve my book. I had to go all the way to the parking lot and then back to class. i made it right on time. I guess im gona have to go earlier now.
